Cream Cheese Frosting

I love Cream Cheese Frosting. Any cake, cupcake, dessert with Cream Cheese Frosting is a winner. I first had this lovely frosting when I had Carrot Cake for the first time, which was many years ago now. Once I was back from college and craving it I decided to make it myself and see how it goes.

This is my favourite frosting by far. My mom wanted to lick off the spoon when I made this for the first time as well,  which is very unlike her.

This is the same frosting I use for Red Velvet cakes, cupcakes, Humming bird cake and well, it can go with so many more baked goods!

Ingredients

1 1/4 cup Confectioners sugar
1/2 cup butter – softened
1/2 cup cold cream cheese – Philadelphia is the best

Directions

  1. Sift the Icing Sugar so there aren’t any lumps
  2. Add butter to the sugar and let it come together, mix with wooden spoon, it gives the best consistency
  3. Add cream cheese and bring together
